Just Being…

What does it mean to “just be”? To many it sounds passive, possibly even pointless, but if you’ve ever experienced the freedom of not having to do or be anything, you’ll understand the relief and calm that can come from it. Sadly, just being doesn’t come easy to everyone. You may have tried, struggled, and even failed at mindfulness or meditation. That’s ok, it’s not for everyone. But what if there was a way to utilise something inbuilt to help get us to a state of just being?

As human beings we possess one of the most powerful senses of smell in the world. Okay not by comparison to a dog, or even a rabbit (they have almost double the receptors), but it’s pretty good. Smells have the power to transport us to another time and place, evoke strong memories and even allow us to relax, feel inspired and even romantic.

My background is in Complementary and Holistic therapies, and a big part of that is Aromatherapy. Recently I had the unique opportunity to unite the aromatherapist and the therapist sides of me and create Just Being.

As someone who understands the benefits of essential oils, I’m also a person who appreciates the beauty and ambiance that a lit candle can create in any room. I often have a candle burning in my home and office. So why not unite the powerful benefits of essential oils to plant-based wax and create a scent range specifically for creating that perfect environment to “just be”. Now I know it’s not always practical to have an open flame around, that’s why there is also a complementary range of reed diffusers too.

So if you like the idea of creating the right environment to just be, Just Being, might just be, the thing for you.
